Current Membership List
NESDA was formed in 1992 by nine independent detailers. The original idea was to be a chapter of the National Institute of Steel Detailing (NISD).
As the organization grew it became apparent that our members would be better served if we remained a separate entity.
During our bi-monthly meetings it is our practice to inform and educate our members in; Business Practices, Quality Control Methods, Improving Communications, Detailing Practices, Automated Detailing Software, and AISC updates. Membership has grown to approximately 70 members, and in 1998 new classifications were established.

We have established a professional alliance with Structural Steel Fabricators of New England (SSFNE) and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) representative.
